What inspired you to pursue an MS in Biomedical Sciences (MBS) degree, and how has your personal journey shaped your career goals?

I was inspired to join the MBS program after seeing peers complete the program and successfully matriculate to medical school. These people were driven, sharp, and concerned with the wider world around us—they truly embodied the school's motto of Pax et Lux.

Can you share a memorable experience from your time at Tufts that has left a lasting impression on you?

Working with my peers, under the guidance of Dr. Robert Wilson, with our cadaver in Head and Neck Anatomy, was as much a lesson in teamwork and respect as it was in anatomy.

What are your aspirations and goals beyond graduation, both personally and professionally?

After the MBS program, I'm proud to continue my journey at Tufts as a medical student. I strive to marry clinical skills, curiosity, and compassion in my future work as a physician.

What advice would you offer to prospective students based on your own experience?

The best advice I've been given—and what I'd share with any prospective student—is that the smartest people change their minds. When presented with new evidence and experiences, the brightest of our peers accommodate their opinions and worldviews, reflecting a commitment to lifelong learning that reaches far beyond the confines of a classroom.

How has the Tufts MBS program provided you with the resources and support needed to pursue your academic or career goals?

The Tufts MBS program offered unparalleled access to academic support that revolutionized the way I learned from and partnered with my peers. The program facilitated an environment wherein competition was substituted with collaboration and success was abundant.

Could you speak to a specific feature of the program that had the biggest impact on your education at Tufts?

The faculty. Each and every member of the Department of Medical Education was committed to my success and ensuring my individual needs were met. My mentors held me to a high standard and helped me achieve my wildest dreams.
