Plain Language for Health (PL4H)

This year’s workshop includes five modules. Participants may attend the full workshop (all five modules) or select individual modules by topic of interest.

The program’s instructional design provides participants with a unique opportunity to meet and learn from others doing similar work and engage in interactive practice activities and discussions of how to apply lessons learned in your own work.

Program Information

    • Register for individual modules
      • Cost: $85 per module
    • Register for full workshop
      • Cost: $425 for all 5 modules

    To register go to TouchNet, the Tufts online registration system. Space is limited to 24 participants per module on a first come, first served basis. Registration must be paid in full to reserve your place.

    Registrants may withdraw and receive a partial refund (registration fee minus $25) two weeks prior to the event. No refunds will be issued within two weeks of the scheduled event.

    Where: 

    Zoom for synchronous (live) teaching and learning and Canvas for asynchronous (offline) course work. Participants must have internet access to join the workshop, and a computer with audio and video. Once registered, you will receive Tufts log in information on how to access Tufts Zoom and Canvas accounts.

  • Course Director

    • Sabrina Kurtz-Rossi, MEd, Assistant Professor, Public Health & Community Medicine, Tufts University School of Medicine. Dedicated to improving the health literacy of health professionals and the public, Ms. Kurtz-Rossi designs training programs that are skills focused and tailored to meet the needs of all participants. As a health literacy practitioner, she draws on her plain language writing and editing work to inform her teaching.
