MPH Concentrations & Tracks
Concentrations allow students to focus around particular content areas as they develop their public health skills. All MPH and Bachelor/MPH students must select one of the following concentrations. Students pursuing one of the following combined degrees—MD, DVM, DMD, PA or JD/MPH—have a course of study specific to their combined degree, called a track. MS/MPH students choose a concentration or petition to create an individualized course of study.
All concentrations and tracks have requirements in addition to the core curriculum. The number of additional required and elective courses varies depending on the concentration or track. Students interested in creating an individualized study program will work with a faculty advisor to identify a set of courses that deliver an integrated course of study. This integrated course of study must represent specific skills and knowledge that the student will demonstrate through course assignments.
