Doctor of Public Health (DrPH)

Advanced Training in Public Health Leadership and Practice

The Tufts University Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) Program is a rigorous post-master’s degree program.  It provides public health practitioners who already possess significant experience with interdisciplinary and practical training that prepares them to become public health leaders.

Rigorous and Flexible

The DrPH program is built on a challenging core curriculum, and draws expertise from Tufts University’s distinguished graduate schools in a wide range of interdisciplinary areas including: public health law, nutrition, medicine, veterinary medicine, infectious and chronic diseases, environmental sciences and engineering, urban planning, social work, communications and global health.

Small Classes, Interdisciplinary Focus

Our interdisciplinary approach brings together professors and talented students from a wide range of personal and professional backgrounds. As a DrPH student, you will work in small, interactive classes, learning to think critically about public health on a local, national and global scale.

Real-world, Skills Based Learning

Your classroom experience will foster practical application of coursework, while practicum requirements will ensure that you master the competencies you will need as a public health leader.  A dissertation will provide you an opportunity to bring evidence into policy, an overarching leadership competency.
