Research Statement for Teaching the Great Diseases

Participants in online courses within the Teaching the Great Diseases program may also participate in research aimed to improve online offerings from the Center for Translational Science Education (CTSE) at Tufts School of Medicine. Participation in this research is unpaid and voluntary, and you may opt out by sending an email to Berri Jacque (berri.jacque@tufts.edu). The CTSE does not use learner data for any purpose other than to improve the quality of the courses that we offer. This data may be published in academic journals or shared at professional meetings but will never be shared in a manner that individuals can be personally identified. Participation will not affect your academic standing, grades or your relationship with the CTSE or Tufts School of Medicine.

Participating in this research will involve taking an online survey at the beginning and end of the course. This survey will take no longer than 15 minutes to complete.

Although participating in the research won't benefit you directly, your participation will help inform future courses.

You have the option to not participate in this research. You may opt out by sending an email to Berri Jacque (berri.jacque@tufts.edu).

If you have any questions about the study please contact the Principal Investigator Dr. Berri Jacque. You can call him at (617) 636 6913 (daytime) or (413) 478 8205 (cell). His email is: berri.jacque@tufts.edu
