Professional Development in Health Communication
Health communication is critical in today’s fast changing health care landscape. With the explosion of health-related websites, social media technologies, and mobile apps, clinicians, policy-makers, and public health professionals must be well versed in effective health communication across a wide range of media and audiences. Health literacy, strategies to reach target populations, communication campaigns and promotion of behavior change are all affected by these technological shifts. The Professional Development in Health Communication program enables public health and health care professionals to keep pace with these changes with intensive courses. These courses provide hands-on training both from Tufts faculty and professionals in the field working to develop and implement effective health communication.
If five or more employees from the same organization enroll in a professional development course, a 20% discount will be given on each employee's tuition.
A limited number of travel grants are available for professionals who plan to attend one of the in-person Health Communication Professional Development courses. To be eligible, participants must commit to enroll in one of our in-person professional development courses and submit a brief statement on how the course will benefit their current or future career. To apply, please submit the travel grant application by April 30, 2018.
