Health Literacy Leadership

Online Course Summer 2020
May 26 – June 25, Tuesdays & Thursdays, 9:00 – 12:00 (EST)

This online program directly supports the work of professionals engaged in health literacy work to transform public health and healthcare delivery across the globe. Those working to improve patient-provider communication and healthcare quality as well as those working to improve population health literacy will find the Institute to be directly applicable.

  • Name audience-specific health literacy competencies and the curriculum content to address those competencies.
  • Write measurable health literacy learning objectives and an evaluation plan that includes outcome and process measures.
  • Outline a health literacy curriculum or educational program based on sound adult learning theory and effective teaching strategies.
