We offer a variety of opportunities for students, alumni and employers to connect. Some of the different ways are:

  • Post jobs, internships, fellowships, and your own events in Handshake
  • Attend career fairs
  • Host Master of Public Health (MPH) students for the Applied Learning Experience, and Master of Science in Health Informatics & Analytics students for the Capstone experience
  • Interview on campus
  • Provide informational sessions about your organization and openings
  • Provide subject matter experts to guest lecture in our classes
  • Mentor a student

Recruiting

Handshake is our recruiting platform. Employers with an active Handshake account will be able to recruit directly from Tufts Public Health and Professional Degree programs, all online.

Maneuvering through the Bias in Hiring, Compensation, and Promotions

Even when people have the best of intentions, following the best practices in hiring, promotions, and pay results in bias. For students and alumni this webinar will give you concrete steps to minimize the impact of such bias as job candidates. For alumni who are hiring, this webinar will give you concrete steps to take care of your direct reports while advocating for change within the whole organization. The webinar will be led by Katie Donovan, Director of Career Services. Ms. Donovan has been working on eliminating systemic bias in hiring since 2011. She pioneered the end of questions on previous pay for job candidates, enabling successful black and female candidates to earn 13% and 8% more, respectively, when changing jobs.

MBS Glide Year Job Search

The session will cover how to find the hidden job market, what jobs are good fits for MBS students, frequent employers of Tufts MBS students, resumes, cover letters, and interviews. This session is timed so you have the tools you need as you begin your job search in the coming weeks.

Tufts Boston Graduate Health Sciences Employer Expo and Career Fair

The Boston Graduate Health Sciences Career Fair, a joint effort by the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy, the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, and the School of Medicine's Public Health and Professional Degree programs, is an excellent opportunity to meet with employers who are 1) actively looking to hire new graduates with master's or PhDs in biomedical sciences, nutrition, public health, health informatics & analytics, and physician assistant and 2) looking to begin recruiting and connecting with strong candidates for future jobs. The career fair is a must for any Friedman, Biomedical Sciences, and Public Health and Professional Degree student regardless of how far along they are in their program. The Career Fair and Expo is virtual and gives you a chance to learn about employers during the Employer Information Sessions between 11:00am EST and 1:00pm EST and directly discuss current and future job opportunities during the Career Fair between 1:00pm EST and 3:00pm EST.

Private Sector and Hospital Career Panel

Join Career Services for this panel discussion by MPH alumni, hiring managers, and recruiters from RSM, IQVIA, Takeda Pharmaceuticals and Massachusetts General Hospital to learn why people with an MPH degree are in demand. Learn about career paths, a typical work day and finding jobs through the advertised and hidden job market. This is a great opportunity to diversify your career opportunities and broaden your horizons.
