The Tufts Biomedical Queer Alliance is an organization dedicated to connecting and strengthening lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, intersex, and allied (LGBTQIA) students and professionals at Tufts' Boston Campus to create a lasting improvement for the community. We represent graduate students at the Medical, Dental, Sackler, Friedman, and PHPD schools as well as faculty, staff, and residents at Tufts Medical Center - membership is not limited to students. Our activities range from social gatherings to forums and volunteer opportunities. Finally, our organization and events are not exclusive to the LGBT community and we welcome all students to become members and allies, as we work to educated, advocate and support each other.
We strive to:
- Provide a voice for the LGBT community at the Boston Campus.
- Foster a strong social and professional network of LGBT students and professionals.
- Educate about the special needs of the LGBT community as patients and as providers and raise visibility.
- Coordinate with LGBT groups at other institutions to expand these ideas.
