Opportunities to Engage

Our alumni surveys consistently show that alumni want to give back. Here are some ways that you can engage with the school to help current PHPD students.

  • Provide a field placement. Domestic and international field placements are sought for MPH and MS-Health Communication students throughout the year.  Placements for both the Applied Learning Experience (ALE) and the MD/MPH and DVM/MPH Public Health Field Experience are needed. Learn more here.
  • Participate in on-campus career development events. The Career Services office regularly puts together career development programming aimed at helping currents explore the wide range of careers available with a public health-related degree, and begin to network with alumni working in fields of interest. Programming ranges from alumni career panels to employer lunch and learn sessions and organization recruitment information sessions. If you are working in the field of public health, we know you are well positioned to help current students navigate the world of work. To learn more, contact the Career Services office.
  • Network with current students. Tufts University has developed CAN – Career Advisory Network – to help students connect with alumni working in organizations or career fields of interest. Simply register online to be available to be contacted by students for informational interviews.
  • Get involved in the PHPD Alumni Association. The PHPD Alumni Association is active and regularly plans social and networking events, as well as opportunities for professional development. If you are interested in becoming an active member of the alumni association, we encourage you to contact the President of the PHPD Alumni Association.
