The DMD/MPH is a 4.5 to 5-year program academically housed in a third MPH generalist track, developed specifically for the DMD degree program at Tufts University. Students can enter the program during their second year of dental school, and have up to two years after graduation from TUSDM to complete the requirements for the MPH degree. Students must successfully complete all of the requirements for each degree. Upon completion of all program requirements, students receive the DMD and MPH degrees simultaneously.
Each student must complete a minimum of 13 credits of required public health coursework in addition to the DMD, to fulfill the requirements for the combined DMD/MPH degree. Courses are scheduled during the day and evening, and will be offered in fall, spring and summer semesters.
