Participants will learn from each other and from Tufts University School of Medicine faculty with over 15 years of health literacy teaching and training experience and guest lecturers highly regarded for their pioneering health literacy curriculum development work in medical education and adult literacy.
Sabrina Kurtz-Rossi, M.Ed., is an Assistant Professor at Tufts University School of Medicine where she teaches skills oriented health literacy courses to health professionals in training.

Clifford Coleman, M.D., M.P.H., is a practicing physician and faculty member at the Oregon Health & Science University where he has integrated health literacy teaching into the medical school Family Medicine Residency curricula. Dr. Coleman is working to establish health literacy competencies for medical schools nationally.
Julie McKinney, M.S., is a Health Literacy Specialist with expertise in health literacy curriculum resources for adult educators and health professionals. Ms. McKinney is a teacher trainer and develops health literacy curricula for adult basic education and English for speakers of other languages classes.
R.V. Rikard. Ph.D., is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Media and Information at Michigan State University where his research interests include the studying the impact of technology on health and the social science of Big Data.
