The workshop features two days of training with experts from CommunicateHealth and Tufts University School of Medicine, and an evening networking reception. To support health literate organizations and communities, teams of three (3) people from the same organization – especially community organizations – are encouraged to attend.

How much does it cost?
  • Individual: $300 early registration ($350 after Feb. 16, 2018)
  • Teams of three (3) people from the same organization: $825 per team ($975 after Feb. 16, 2018)
  • A fee of $100 will be applied to cancellations within two weeks of the event.


Who is leading the workshop?
  • Stacy Robison, MPH, MCHES, President and Co-founder
    A self-proclaimed health literacy geek and an expert in clear communication, Stacy is responsible for leading CommunicateHealth's content and creative excellence. Since co-founding the company at the age of 30, Stacy has been recognized as an innovative business leader by the U.S. Women's Chamber of Commerce and others, including BusinessWest's 40 Under Forty.

  • Xanthi Scrimgeour, MHEd, MCHES, Chief Strategist and Co-founder
    Since co-founding CommunicateHealth in 2009, Xanthi has been driving company strategy and operations, transforming the organization into a nationally recognized multi-million dollar consulting firm. A veteran public health advocate, Xanthi spent 20 years working on the front lines with state and local health agencies, always championing the use of plain language and testing with users.

  • Sabrina Kurtz-Rossi, MEd, Assistant Professor, Director of the Health Literacy Leadership Institute
    Dedicated to improving the health literacy of health professionals and the public, Sabrina designs curricula and training programs that are skills focused and tailored to meet the needs of all participants. When she is not teaching, Sabrina is Principle of a Kurtz-Rossi & Associates, a woman-owned consulting group offering health literacy, plain language, education and evaluation services.
