Mission Statement

Housed in the Tufts University School of Medicine in the heart of Boston's Chinatown, the mission of the Health Communication Program is to prepare leaders in the rapidly evolving health information environment through the use of cutting edge, science-based communication strategies to address health problems, inform policy, and increase access to quality health care, thereby improving population health.

We provide individualized attention to student development, maintain collaborative relationships with our graduates, and are committed to developing a growing community of health communication specialists. The Program’s strong practice orientation has produced leaders in the expanding field of health communication.
