Degree Requirements

Students admitted to the dual degree program must take the following courses as undergraduates:  

  • Community Health 1: Introduction to Community Health
  • Special Topics in Community Health: Changing Health Behaviors [1 credit]
  • The Science and Practice of Medicine [1 credit]
  • Special Topics in Community Health: Social Media and Health (elective) [0.5 credit]

Community Health 1 counts only towards the undergraduate degree. Special Topics in Community Health: Changing Health Behaviors and The Science and Practice of Medicine count towards both graduate and undergraduate degrees. Special Topics in Community Health: Social Media and Health counts only towards the graduate degree if the student matriculates into the program. Collectively these three graduate level courses represent 2.5 credits towards the total 10.5 credits needed to complete the program.
